Reclaimed/Raw Water Interconnect Westminster

The City of Westminster awarded Duran Excavating, Inc. this project located in Westminster. The project provides for the construction of a pump station and 9,300 linear feet of reclaimed waterline ranging from 3” to 18” diameter and 600 linear feet of raw waterline 16” in diameter. The project also includes the construction of a 30’ long by 26’ wide by 14’ tall pump station building located at the City of Westminster’s Northwest Water Treatment Plant. The pump station design pumping capacity is 4,400 gpm. The pump station also includes a 20’ deep wet well for (2) 200 horse power vertical turbine pumps and motors. Due to the expansive clay soils the building foundation will be supported by drilled piers into bedrock. The pump station building will be constructed of CMU blocks with a brick veneer to match the architecture of the existing building on site. The project also includes the construction of approximately 2,583 linear feet of 18” diameter DIP reclaimed waterline; 610 linear feet of 16” diameter DIP raw waterline; 1,826 linear feet of 12” diameter reclaimed waterline, 478 linear feet of 8” diameter PVC reclaimed waterline; 333 linear feet of 4” diameter PVC reclaimed waterline; and realignment of approximately 155 linear feet of 8” potable waterline. This project also includes the construction of reclaimed waterlines using Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) which includes 2,710 linear feet of 10” reclaimed waterline along 120th Avenue 167 linear feet of 6” HDPE conduit with 4” HDPE slipline beneath Wadsworth Blvd ., 305 linear feet of 6” HDPE conduit with 3” HDPE slipline. Peripheral pipeline construction includes an open trench crossing Walnut Creek. Walnut Creek crossing includes 80 linear feet of 30” steel casing and 18” DIP carrier pipe and maintenance of storm flows and restoration of creek bed and banks. Peripheral pipeline also includes jack and bore of 184 linear feet of 22” steel casing and 10” PVC carrier pipe beneath the Bradburn Blvd., Bridge along 120th Avenue. Additional work includes dewatering, surface flow management, erosion & dust control, and traffic control.

Southwood Village Outfall

Duran Excavating, Inc. was awarded this project by the Southeast Metro Stormwater Authority This project is located in The City of Centennial. The description of work consists of installing approximately 3,600 linear feet of 18” thru 30” reinforced concrete pipe and appurtenant manholes and inlets. Install approximately 143 linear feet of 30” jacked concrete pipe. This work is located in existing roadways which will also include traffic control, asphalt replacement, concrete flatwork replacement and outfall boulders.

Town of Johnstown Storm Sewer

Duran Excavating, Inc. was awarded this project by the Town of Johnstown. This project will be done in three phases, Phase I Approximately 799’ of 60” RCP, 1648’ of 48” RCP and 89’ of 18” RCP, bedding, construction staking, pavement removal and replacement, earthwork, concrete trickle channel, grading of existing ditch, reclamation and fabric reinforcing. The removal of an abandoned waterline, replacement of a culvert and construction of a baffles apron for an outlet into the Thompson River. Phase II. Approximately 717’ of 42” RCP, 58’ of 18” RCP bedding, construction staking, pavement removal and replacement and crossing through the railroad tracks at Charlotte Street. Phase III. Approximately 305’ of 42” RCP, 635’ of 36” RCP, 519’ of 24” RCP, and 190” of 18” RCP bedding construction staking, pavement removal and replacement, crossing through the Hillsboro Ditch, removal of headwall in the Hillsboro Ditch, and removal of two existing storm sewer manholes on Columbine Avenue.

State Highway 392 and County Rd 31 Improvements

Duran Excavating, Inc. was awarded this project by the Colorado Department of Transportation and called for improvements to be made to the intersection of State Highway 392 and County Road 31 in Northern Colorado. Work includes adding a turn lane, culvert replacement, earthwork, asphalt, striping and signing and traffic control.

Larimer County Landfill Phase 2

Duran Excavating, Inc. was awarded this project by Larimer County. This project includes capping the trash at the Larimer County landfill with approximately 180,000 cubic yards of soil from the on site burrow area. This consists of three stages, the first is the clay infiltration layer, the second is the root and frost protection layer and the third is topsoil placement. The job also includes installation of storm piping, catch basins and outlay structures.

Stapleton Filing #28

Duran Excavating, Inc. was awarded this project by Mortenson Construction. This project includes completion of infrastructure and parks improvements for the Stapleton Redevelopment Project. Work consists of installation of 658 feet of 8” sanitary sewer main and three manholes; 2,161 feet of 8” waterline, 3 fire hydrants and 800 feet of 6” dry utility sleeving.

Duran Excavating, Inc. was awarded this project by Mortenson Construction. This project includes completion of infrastructure and parks improvements for the Stapleton Redevelopment Project. Work consists of installation of 527 feet of 8” sanitary sewer main and two manholes; 244 feet of 18” and 24” storm sewer, 1 manhole and 4 inlets; installation of 713 feet of 8” waterline, 1 fire hydrant, and installation of 1,860 linear feet of 4” and 6” dry utility sleeving.

13th Ave. Sanitary Sewer Replacement (Harlan to Carr Street)

Duran Excavating, Inc. was awarded this project by the City of Lakewood Department of Public Works. This project includes the removal of pipe, manhole structures, and asphalt materials. Work to be completed also includes earthwork and reconnection of sanitary sewer services. This project consists of replacing the existing 8” sewer system, including extensive traffic control, by-pass pumping of existing sewer, remove existing 8” pipe and manholes, installing 1,234 linear feet of 8” PVC, 6,011 linear feet of 18” and 21” PVC, manholes, services and asphalt paving.

9th. Ave. Storm Water Pump Station

Duran Excavating, Inc. was awarded this project by the City of Greeley. The scope of work includes the installation of a new 40 HP submersible pump with discharge line, construction of a new 12’ diameter wet well, abandonment of an existing wet well and installation of a new water quality treatment vault at an existing storm drainage pump station at 9th Ave.

Colorado Science & Technology Park at Fitzsimons Campus

Duran Excavating, Inc. was awarded this project by GH Phipps. The scope of work includes the installation of 3,070 ft of 6”, 8”, 10” and 12” sanitary sewer and manholes, installation of 3,448 ft of 8” and 12” waterline and fire hydrants, installation of 3,779 ft of 18”,24”, 30”, 36”, 48” and 60”storm sewer pipe, manholes and inlets. Work also includes removal of 5,387 ft of existing sanitary, water and storm systems, manholes, and inlets. Work also includes asphalt patching and concrete patching.
